Over the years my teeth have become worn and seem shorter. My smile looks old. What can be done?

If your teeth are badly worn, there are two issues that need to be considered. The obvious issue is the appearance of the teeth. But the function also may need to be addressed. If you grind your teeth a lot and they are badly worn down, it can lead to painful jaw joint problems (TMJ) and destruction of the teeth. So if you have substantial wear of the teeth, Dr. Malone will examine you carefully so that he understands what is happening in your mouth. Otherwise, your treatment may not hold up over time.

If the issue is uncomplicated, porcelain veneers can completely rejuvenate your smile. Worn, shortened teeth can make you look old. But porcelain veneers can lengthen the teeth and make them look young again.
