Here are before and after photographs that illustrate what porcelain veneers can do. With these thin shells of porcelain, Dawanna's intense brown tetracycline stains have been masked and she has been given a beautiful smile. This work was done by Dr. Malone and his master ceramist, Mike Bellarino.

Notice that in addition to masking the color, Dawanna's smile has been evened out and the shapes of her teeth have been made more pleasing. And also notice how much more relaxed her smile is in the "after" picture. We see this frequently when people have problems with their smile finally corrected. Smiling used to be difficult for them, but now they are proud to show their beautiful teeth.
